דוקטור הו עונה 8 תרגום מובנה לצפייה ישירה

גירסא חדשה (ומאד מצליחה) לסדרת הקאלט הבריטית. הסדרה נפתחת עם הצגתה של רוז טיילר (בגילומה של זמרת הפופ בילי פייפר) נערה בריטית צעירה העובדת כזבנית בחנות כלבו. רוז חיה חיים ממוצעים – מגורים עם אם שתלטנית חבר שהיא לא ממש אוהבת ועבודה גרועה – עד שלילה אחד בובות התצוגה בכלבו 'קמות לתחייה' ומנסות להרוג אותה. חייה ניצלים בידי אדם מוזר (כריסטופר אקלסטון) המכנה את עצמו 'הדוקטור' רוז מסוקרנת ומוצאת את עצמה במהרה מצטרפת לדוקטור למאבק בניסיון של נוכחות חייזרית לפלוש לכדור הארץ ולהשמיד את המין האנושי. היא מגלה שחברה החדש הדוקטור הוא מוזר יותר משחשבה – הוא למעשה אדון זמן (Time Lord) מורד והרפתקן מכוכב אחר האחרון מבני מינו אשר נוסע ברחבי הזמן והחלל בספינת החלל שלו ה'טארדיס' ונלחם ברשע היכן שהוא מוצא אותו. רוז מצטרפת לדוקטור למסע של הרפתקאות במהלכו היא תחזה בהתפוצצות כדור הארץ בעתיד תפגוש את צ`ארלס דיקנס בעבר ותפגוש צורות חיים ופולשים מהחלל שלעולם לא חשבה שתפגוש…
